William Means Guide to Olde Park

◂ Back to Posts

Olde Park is an established community in the heart of Mount Pleasant. Beautiful custom built homes reflect traditional southern features with updates for today’s lifestyles in this tranquil neighborhood. Created by local real estate developer Joseph P. Griffith and attorney Joseph F. Rice, Jr., their vision was to create a neighborhood that fully embraces the historic Lowcountry yet reflects modern living.

Location. Situated in an excellent location in Mount Pleasant, Olde Park offers close proximity to shops and restaurants, and is just five miles from historic downtown Charleston.

Neighborhood Features. With spacious lots, mature trees, lush landscaping, ponds, and green space, Olde Park offers tranquility and beauty. The entire community contains approximately 90+/- acres of highland, marsh and wetlands.

Home Styles. Gracious homes are characterized by an elegant and classic southern architectural style. To ensure that each home was designed to meet the original vision for the neighborhood, the developers established a neighborhood Architectural Review Board.

Recreation. Enjoy a stroll or bike ride down quiet streets lined with park-like areas of mature live oaks and other lush plantings, or enjoy sitting in the gazebo. A walking path on scenic Mathis Ferry Road leads all the way to the Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park.
