Jenny Bernard lived in Massachusetts for 15 years before moving to Charleston where she fell in love with the area due to its similarity to Boston. The cobblestone streets, historic architecture and rich culture made her feel right at home. While Bostonians have their love of sports, Charlestonians embrace the water and beaches. Jenny is grateful for the luxury of living in the Lowcountry and being able to see the water and smell the salty air every day.

Jenny began her real estate career as a sales assistant in a master planned, riverfront community on Johns Island before becoming a full-time Realtor. She offers comprehensive knowledge of the local market, exceptional customer service and next level marketing for the homes she represents. For every interaction with her clients, agents and vendors, Jenny strives to live by Maya Angelou’s words: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” She truly cares about the needs of others and is dedicated to being the best Realtor for her clients.

Jenny is a proud mom of four children, two boys and two girls. She is a yogi at heart, practicing daily on Zoom with her friends in Massachusetts or at any number of the studios in Charleston. She and her children are involved in the flower ministry and youth groups of First-Scots Presbyterian Church. As a native of North Carolina, come basketball and lacrosse season, you’ll find Jenny cheering on her alma mater, the University of North Carolina Tar Heels.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE FEATURES OF HOMES AND WHY?
I appreciate a home with good bones, but I believe crown molding, built-in cabinetry and fixtures really bring the home together. I know that my forever home in Charleston will have a true Southern front porch for rocking chairs, a joggling board and gas lanterns.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN CHARLESTON AND WHY?
My favorite restaurant is Sorelle. The dining experience is more than just fine Southern Italian cuisine. The build-out of the historic Broad Street building is exquisite with high ceilings and exceptional attention to detail. It makes me feel as though I am dining in the Mediterranean, and the Crudo Di Tonno is to die for.

DESCRIBE A FAVORITE SATURDAY AFTERNOON IN CHARLESTON.
I enjoy biking the paths and beach on Kiawah Island or paddleboarding Shem Creek with my children. It is breathtaking when you catch a glimpse of the dolphins swimming around you!
