Top Charleston Restaurants to Visit After A Beach Day

As summer winds down and we enjoy the last remaining beach days of the season, make the most out of your days by enjoying one of our favorite Charleston restaurants post beach, you will surely be ready for a delicious meal. Whether you’re spending the day on Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island or Folly Beach, we’ve rounded up our favorite restaurants to visit after a beach day.

Coconut Joe’s. After spending a day on Isle of Palms beach, make sure to stop by Coconut Joe’s, an oceanfront establishment welcoming you as you are. They have a rooftop bar displaying beautiful ocean views and offer food choices for every palate. Enjoy coconut shrimp, shrimp and grits, cheeseburgers and refreshing cocktails. They often offer live music or events such as karaoke or trivia.

Acme Lowcountry Kitchen. Acme is also located on Isle of Palms and combines upscale, yet casual elements of traditional coastal cuisine. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a casual beach atmosphere with fresh local ingredients. This is a great place to stop on your way to the beach to enjoy a delicious Southern brunch and bloody Mary.

Home Team BBQ. A Sullivan’s Island favorite, Home Team BBQ, will never disappoint. After spending a relaxing day playing in the waves or reading a book, stop by this establishment for their famous wings, barbecue dishes or nachos. If you’re feeling thirsty, be sure to try a frozen Game Changer or Irish Coffee. Finish your visit off with some delicious banana pudding.

Poe’s Tavern. Poe’s Tavern is situated directly across Home Team BBQ on Sullivan’s Island. This gastropub specializes in ground in-house burgers, fish tacos, sandwiches and salads. This relaxed restaurant’s American-style grub and decor is devoted to the author Edgar Allen Poe and is surely a local favorite.

Taco Boy. Take an adventure out to Folly Beach and enjoy the liveliness of activities such as surfing and fishing. There are plenty of restaurants and surf shops to peruse after your day on the beach. Taco Boy is a colorful and inviting spot with festive energy and Mexican-inspired cuisine.

Rita’s Seaside Grill. Ritas is an affiliate of Halls Chophouse, Slightly North of Broad and High Cotton and is surely a Folly Beach favorite. Offering a lively atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, they offer an extensive menu with sandwiches, salads, steak, seafood and pork dishes. Your furry friend is also welcome to join!
