Lowcountry Living – July 4th Events

◂ Back to Posts

Independence Day is just around the corner, so we are rounding up our favorite local celebrations that will offer all the fireworks you could ask for this holiday weekend. Which events will you and your family be attending? Share with us in the comments section below.

  • If you’re in the mood for celebrating early, come on out to Sullivan’s Island annual celebration at the J. Marshall Stith Park starting at 6pm on July 2nd.
  • The City of North Charleston is once again hosting a July 4th celebration at the Riverfront Park from 3:00 PM – 9:45 PM. This year’s event features exciting musical guests, children activities, food trucks, craft vendors, and the Lowcountry’s largest 4th of July fireworks show.
  • Celebrate the Fourth of July on board one of the most historic warships in the United States, the USS YORKTOWN on the Charleston Harbor at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant. Keep in mind that you will need to purchase a ticket to this spectacular event!
  • Unfortunately, the annual fireworks display on the Edge of America is canceled this year. Officials with the Folly Beach Department of Public Safety say due to expected high tides, the event will not take place. A fireworks display is planned for Labor Day weekend instead.

From all of us at William Means, we hope that you have a safe and fun 4th of July holiday!
