  • Rockin’ the River is a family and pet-friendly summer concert series that takes place at the beautiful and historic Riverfront Park in North Charleston. On Thursday August 4th a Dave Matthews Tribute Band will be playing.
  • The Gullah/Geechee Nation International Music & Movement Festival takes place from August 5th-7th. The three day event includes tours, film viewing, a reunion celebration with live music, food and presentations.
  • The Charleston Jazz Orchestra will transform the Kiawah stage with the fiery rhythms of your favorite salsa, cha-cha, samba, and bossa nova tunes on Sunday August 7th.
  • The legendary Mills House Hotel presents Shrimp City Slim (noted Charleston blues pianist/singer) in the courtyard for a fabulous Lowcountry Blues Brunch! Join them on Sunday August 7th for sunshine and food/drink specials.
  • Enjoy a one of a kind experience on August 11th with Cru Catering Chef and Owner John Zucker and Executive Chef Steve Boyer at the helm of the kitchen, just a few feet away from your table. Each dinner will showcase a five course tasting menu. Delicious!
  • Shag the night away under the stars on August 19th at the Folly Beach Edwin S. Taylor Fishing Pier, where DJ Jim Bowers will be spinning the hottest oldies and beach music for you all night long.
  • It’s going to be a “grape” time at the 12th Annual Grape Stomping Festival on Saturday August 27th at Deep Water Vineyard, Charleston’s only winery.
  • The 17th annual Thrivent Financial Race for The ARK is August 27th in downtown Summerville. This 5K run/walk raises money for The ARK in its work providing comprehensive support services to families living with Alzheimer’s or related dementia.

We hope everyone enjoys the month of August with these great events for the whole family!
