Artists for Emanuel – Straight From The Heart Event

William Means Real Estate is a proud sponsor of the Artists for Emanuel “Straight from the Heart,” an exhibition and silent auction featuring over 90 pieces of original art from Charleston visual artists as an expression of unity and healing. The show is in conjunction with the Gibbes Museum of Art and the Colour of Music Festival, and proceeds benefit Coastal Community Foundation’s Lowcountry Unity Fund — formed in response to the tragedy at Mother Emanuel AME Church to promote long-term solutions for racism and economic inequality in African-American communities.

Auction Items:

Works by over 90 local visual artists (from Betty Anglin Smith and Eva Carter to Brian Coleman and Kate Long Stevenson). — Visit the online auction.

Reception and Silent Auction:

Wednesday, Nov. 11th 6-9pm at the Cigar Factory (701 East Bay Street). Free and open to the public. 

Music by The Colour of Music festival artists; Food from the Indigo Road restaurants, Halls Chophouse, Cru Catering, and many more of Charleston’s best restaurants.

**At the event, there will be a “Quick Sale” wall of 8×8 paintings selling for $200 each (first come, first served). Sales begin at 7pm.

Wednesday, Nov. 4th, 9am – Wednesday, Nov. 11th, 8:30pm. View the online auction. 

**For those who would like to see the exhibition but cannot make the event, there are open gallery hours at the Cigar Factory Tuesday, Nov 10, 9am-4pm, and Wednesday, Nov 11, 9am-4pm.
