6 Ways to Enjoy Spring in Charleston

◂ Back to Posts

The sun is shining, flowers are blooming, and the days are getting warmer – it seems that spring has arrived in the Lowcountry. Here are six ways you can enjoy spring in Charleston.

Admire the View. With the trees and gardens starting to bloom, spring is undoubtedly the perfect time of year to take in Lowcountry views. Whether you walk your dog around your neighborhood or take a stroll in downtown Charleston, you are sure to be reminded of spring everywhere you look.

Attend Local Festivals. Spring in Charleston ushers in festival season. In the month of March, enjoy Charleston Fashion Week, the Annual Festival of Houses and Gardens and Pet Fest.

Outdoor Recreation. There’s no better time than springtime to get more involved in outdoor recreation. Participating in the Cooper River Bridge Run in Mount Pleasant, utilizing the walking and biking trails in West Ashley or James Island, biking downtown or play frisbee on the Isle of Palms or Sullivan’s Island beaches are great ways to enjoy your local outdoor resources.

Spring Cleaning. Though getting organized is not everyone’s way of “enjoying” spring, some people love it! Take advantage of the warmer temperatures to open your windows, put away your winter clothes and bedding, and get your home ready for the rest of the year.

Be A Tourist. There are so many wonderful things to do in Charleston. Be a tourist in your own town and find a fun activity you have yet to try – whether that be a carriage ride, house tour or new restaurant.

Put Your Home On the Market. Thinking of moving? Spring is a great time to put your home on the market. Speak with an experienced William Means agent to get your home listed (and sold!).
