3 Charleston County High Schools Ranked Among the Nation’s Best

Academic Magnet HS

U.S. News and World Report named this year’s America’s Best High Schools.  More than 21,000 public high schools are reviewed by a three-step process and than ranked into the top 100 based upon performance.  According to US News, “The first two steps ensured that the schools serve all their students well, using state proficiency standards as the benchmarks. For those schools that made it past the first two steps, a third step assessed the degree to which schools prepare students for college-level work.”

Academic Magnet in North Charleston earned top honors with a #12 ranking on the Gold Medal list.  Charleston County School of the Arts earned Silver Status and Garrett Academy of Technology earned Bronze Status.  Read the full article on the Charleston County School District website.
