What We Love

There is something so special about being in a home built in 1830. The level of detail and finish is not comparable to a home built today. My favorite unexpected treasure was to discover the hand engraved hinges on the doors to the drawing room and dining room. They are each works of art!

The central mahogany winding staircase has incredible craftsmanship and the large drawing room and dining room are separated by handsome sliding doors harkening back to the early days of Charleston entertaining. The fireplaces are surrounded by the original period mantels and the French doors open to the double piazzas overlooking the large side garden.
