◂ Back to Posts

November is here and that means we’re quickly approaching the holiday season! It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner, yet these next two months will surely fly by in the blink of an eye. While Thanksgiving is all about reflection and appreciating what you have in life, we can’t forget about the food. Charleston is known for its world renowned dining and the Thanksgiving meal is no exception. Whether you’re planning a trip to the Lowcountry for the holiday or you live locally, check out the William Mean’s Guide for spending Thanksgiving in Charleston.

Walking Tour of Charleston. To start off the Holiday weekend, we highly suggest taking a walking tour through historic Charleston! A walking tour is the best way to take in the beauty, history and charm of Charleston firsthand! Enjoy some fresh air and admire the holiday decorations on the traditional Charleston homes in South of Broad.

Delicious Cuisine. Save the stress of cooking and preparing a Thanksgiving meal and dine out in Charleston! 82 Queen and Charleston Grill are known for their fabulous Thanksgiving meals that are guaranteed to rival anything you’d prepare at home. Eat your way through Charleston by dining at Halls Chophouse, 167 Raw, S.N.O.B., or Lewis Barbecue.

Black Friday Shopping. After dining on world renowned cuisine, head over to King Street on Black Friday to check off all of your holiday shopping. With a wide variety of luxury name brands, mom and pop shops and trendy boutiques, you’re sure to find something special for everyone on your list.

Experience the Magic of The Charleston Place. Take a stroll through the Charleston Place to admire the magnificent holiday decor! You can even see snow right here in Charleston at The Charleston Place’s Let it Snow event. Every Saturday, admire the snow fall on Market Street Circle while indulging in hot cocoa, cookies and festive cocktails. Be sure to make a reservation as this event fills up fast!

There’s something truly special about the holidays here in the Lowcountry that make us so grateful to call Charleston home. If you’re looking to have a little slice of the Lowcountry, our agents would be happy to assist you.
