After a hot summer in Charleston, we are welcoming Fall with open arms. There’s so much to look forward to from cooler temperatures to a wide variety of fall festivals, events and family-friendly activities for all to enjoy. Follow our guide to see what’s going on this Fall in Charleston.

Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch. The Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch has grown to be one of the largest fall festivals in South Carolina. This family-friendly event has become a tradition for friends and families over the last 26 years. Activities vary from hayrides, giant corn maze, a petting zoo, farm football to live performances. This event is held Friday-Sunday each weekend in October. Learn more.

Boone Hall Fright Nights. If you are looking for some frightening entertainment, Boone Hall Fright Nights hosts three individual spooky attractions most weekend nights during the month of October. This event is sure to get you in the Halloween spirit and get your adrenaline pumping. It’s a good idea to purchase tickets ahead of time as they sell out quickly. Get your tickets, here.

The Fall Tours of Architecture, History and Gardens Throughout the fall season from October 5th-29th, the Preservation Society of Charleston will host tours in downtown Charleston. The different types of tours include Piazzas and Garden Tours, Architecture Tours, Historic Walking Tours and Specialty Tours. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended. Get tickets.

Oktoberfest. Join St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church for their annual Octoberfest event on Saturday, October 8th from 11:30-7 pm. Enjoy German foods, music and children’s activities. Learn more. Holy prost!

Charleston Farmer’s Market. Start each weekend off in historic Marion Square at the weekly farmer’s market in downtown Charleston from 8-2pm. You’ll find a bounty of fresh local produce, entertainment, food vendors, handcrafted jewelry, art and decorations.

Live Under the Oaks Concert Series. Grab your chair or blanket and head to Mount Pleasant Towne Centre for free weekly outdoor fall concert series. This event will be held every Thursday in October from 6-8pm. Details, here.
