Crissy Rowell has extensive experience in Charleston’s luxury real estate market. She has successfully closed intricate transactions across the area’s island neighborhoods, historic downtown boroughs and communities such as Mount Pleasant and Daniel Island.
Crissy has remained one of Charleston’s top real estate agents since her first year in the industry, when she received the Rising Star designation from her brokerage. Throughout her career, she has been honored with the Realtor of Distinction Award, recognizing her as part of the top 10% of producing agents in Charleston. She earned her Broker license and proudly holds several professional designations, including Sellers Representative Specialist (SRS), Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) and Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). Additionally, she has spent several years helping national and international clients with relocations to and from Charleston.
A Michigan native, Crissy has lived in Charleston for more than 20 years and previously spent several years supporting a clinical research training program at the Medical University of South Carolina. This background provided the foundation one of her real estate specialties serving medical professional clients.
Crissy and her husband Michael work together on the Rowell Real Estate Team and reside in Mount Pleasant with their two children. Their family enjoys spending time together at sports practices, boating and discovering the charm of historic downtown Charleston. Committed to giving back, they actively participate in volunteer opportunities and take pride in being involved with various preservation and civic organizations.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE FEATURES OF HOMES AND WHY?
I grew up in a 100-year-old English Tudor style home with three stories of dark hardwood floors, beautiful banisters and intricate millwork. Traditional homes with rich history and charming details like this are always a favorite for me. Beyond that, my favorite feature in any home is a covered porch, perfect for enjoying quiet moments.
WHAT DO YOU THINK SETS YOU APART AS AN AGENT?
I’m smarter than most agents. Just kidding.
I don’t believe in a “bulldog” approach to business—especially in Charleston, where a collaborative style is far more effective. I’m a skilled negotiator who can problem solve with diplomacy, while always firmly advocating for my clients. This may inherently be who I am but has also been fine-tuned through many years of experience.
DESCRIBE A FAVORITE SATURDAY AFTERNOON IN CHARLESTON.
What I love most about Charleston is that there are many different versions of the perfect Saturday. We love the saltwater, so a favorite Saturday for my family is visiting grandparents on the Isle of Palms and taking the boat out along the Intracoastal, and beaching it at Capers Island or Price Inlet. In Mount Pleasant, we regularly golf cart from home over to the I’On Club for lunch and a swim with friends. Downtown, the kids have always loved dipping their toes in at the Pineapple Fountain and enjoying the swings at the Waterfront Park.
