William Means Real Estate has sold the 2009 Coastal Living Idea Cottage in I’On for $785,000. The home at 102 Latitude Lane was featured in the October issue of Coastal Living magazine and was visited by thousands who toured the home this fall. Tour proceeds benefited East Cooper Habitat for Humanity and East Cooper Montessori Charter School.

The 2009 Coastal Living Idea Cottage is located within the Jefferson Canal Courtyards—a unique and distinctive waterfront development being built by award-winning custom builder Structures Building Company and designed by the prestigious urban firm Historical Concepts.  Each home is characterized by breezy Caribbean architecture, open floor plans, eloquently planned  outdoor  living, and  balconies  overlooking  Jefferson Canal. The Idea Cottage was based on the Antigua floorplan, one of three available plans within the Jefferson Canal Courtyards. Limited in number, the remaining homes will be built to the highest standards of excellence in construction, design, and—as LEED certified homes—environmental stewardship.

Commenting on being invited to build the Idea Cottage, Structures Building Company owner Steve Kendrick replied “I feel honored as an I’On resident and local neighborhood builder to have had this great opportunity.  We were already in the midst of launching our innovative and “green” project called the Jefferson Canal Courtyards when I was approached about being the builder for the 2009 Coastal Living Idea Cottage. It didn’t take long for us all to agree that our Courtyards would be a perfect fit. Coastal Living is a wonderful magazine and carries with it the lifestyle and quality design that our clients are looking for.  Coastal Living’s association with the Jefferson Canal Courtyards will be a feather in the cap of every owner of a Courtyard home.”
