October home sales rise 10.1 percent

According to the National Association of Realtors, existing home sales rose 10.1% over September’s revised figure of 5.54 million.  This has been the largest monthly increase in a decade and above pace expected by economists.  First-time home buyers were rushing to take advantage of the expiring tax credit, which now has been extended.  Learn more here:  October home sales & Tax credit extension.
