Lowcountry Living – September Charleston Events

School is back in session but there is plenty of summer fun to be had after Labor Day. Which Lowcountry events will you be attending in September? Comment below!

September 15th-17th – Charleston Scottish Games – This four-day event includes whiskey tasting, Tartan Ball, heavy athletics, dancing, music, children’s activities and Kirkin o’ the Tartan service.

September 15th-17th – Zugunruhefest is the Southeast’s most comprehensive migration-focused birding festival. This three-day event will afford numerous opportunities for observers, both novice and advanced, to experience fall migration from an exceptional vantage point.

September 16th – Folly Craft Beer Dinner at Chico Feo – Join The Original Charleston Pub & Brewery Tour and explore the flavors from the Edge of America with a taste of island cuisine paired with a fine selection of locally brewed beer.

September 18th – 4th Annual Kiawah Island Golf Resort Triathalon – Currently the only intermediate distance triathlon in the Charleston area to feature an ocean swim, this race features a .7-mile swim, 25.1-mile bike and 6.1-mile run.

September 18th – The Living Green Fest – The Living Green Fest, formerly the Carolina Green Fair, features conservation and health and wellness education through fun and inventive demonstrations, interactive play and music, and education shared by experts in their field.

September 23rd – Drive Away Childhood Cancer Golf Tournament – Golfers can spend a day playing golf with views of the Charleston harbor while raising money for local pediatric cancer research. It’s all part of the fifth annual Drive Away Childhood Cancer Golf Tournament benefiting Chase After a Cure.

September 23rd-25th – Southern Women’s Show – Come enjoy cooking demos, fashion shows, special guest appearances and much more.

September 23rd-25th – Taste of Charleston – This year will mark the 36th anniversary of the Lowcountry’s culinary event of the year, the Taste of Charleston, hosted by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, Inc (GCRA).  A 2-day event showcasing taste-tempting delights served by Charleston restaurants.

September 25th – 4th Annual Wine, Women & Shoes – Enjoy designer shopping, wine tasting and savory bites benefitting Florence Crittenton Programs of SC.
