March 1 – 5 – The Charleston Wine + Food Festival offers a variety of flavors and experiences unique to Charleston and the Lowcountry. Interact and dine with a broad culinary community of local and guest chefs, winemakers, cocktail and beer experts and much more.

March 14 – 18 – Charleston Fashion Week is held under the tents at Marion Square in Downtown Charleston. This five-night celebration features more than 35 runway shows, the Emerging Designer Competition: East, and the Rock the Runway Model Competition™.

March 16 – April 22 – The Festival of Houses & Gardens is a series of award-winning tours and educational events that showcase Charleston’s distinctive architecture, history, gardens and culture. The tours provide a rare opportunity for guests to go inside the private houses and gardens of some of America’s most beautiful historic residences.

March 17 – 19 – Charleston Antiques Show is a premier destination for collectors and enthusiasts who enjoy seeing and learning about incorporating antiques into modern-day decor. Proceeds benefit the advocacy and preservation programs of Historic Charleston Foundation.

March 17 – 18 Charleston St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins at 10am at the corner of Radcliffe and St. Phillip Streets with the best place to view from the sidewalks of King Street. This event is hosted by the Ancient Order of Hibernians and is the biggest of several celebrations of the patron saint of Ireland in the Carolina Lowcountry.

March 18-19 – Pets and their owners are invited to join Charleston County Parks for a full weekend of exhibits, demonstrations, experts, entertainment, and more at Charleston’s premiere pet festival, Pet Fest!

March 25 – Join the action as the rare Marsh Tacky – South Carolina’s State Heritage Horse – races the beaches of Kiawah for the first time. The Kiawah Cares Foundation will host the inaugural Kiawah Cup Island Beach Race in partnership with the Carolina Marsh Tacky Association.
