Lowcountry Events in 2025 You’ll Want To Add To Your Calendar

The new year is finally here and while you may be hibernating from these colder temperatures, we are looking ahead towards some of the best events in Charleston. With the perfect blend of culture and history here in the Lowcountry, there’s always something happening! From music to art to mouth-watering bites, we’ve rounded up a list of some of our favorite events of 2025 that’ll you want to add to your calendar as soon as possible!

Lowcountry Oyster Festival. Feburary 2nd

Oyster season is here and we couldn’t be more excited. If you love some good ole oyster shucking, venture out to Boone Hall Plantation on February 2nd for the world’s largest oyster festival. Enjoy live music, raw oyster eating and shucking contests, wine, a selection of domestic and imported beers, specialty cocktails, a children’s area and food court.

Colour of Music Festival. Feburary 5th-8th

There certainly is no shortage of classical music here in Charleston. Enjoy live performances from vocals to piano and beyond at the Colour of Music, Black Classical Musicians Festival.

Southeastern Wildlife Exposition. Feburary 14th-16th

The largest event of its kind here in the U.S., the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition celebrates wildlife art and the sporting lifestyle through fine art, live entertainment and special events. A celebration of the great outdoors, anyone with a passion for wildlife shouldn’t miss this!

Charleston Wine + Food Festival. March 5th-9th

Food lovers rejoice! Charleston Wine + Food Festival is a 5 day event centered around everything that matters most, food and community. The diverse food and beverage community of the greater Charleston area is brought to life on a national stage, putting Charleston on the map as the ultimate culinary destination. Get ready to eat (and drink) your heart out!

The Charleston Festival. March 13th-April 13th

Join the Historic Charleston Foundation in celebrating the history, architecture, culture and community of Charleston at The Charleston Festival, formerly known as the House & Garden Tours.

Credit One Charleston Open. March 29th-April 6th

The Credit One Charleston Open is celebrating 25 years of world-class tennis on Daniel Island in 2025! Enjoy exhilarating tennis matches while snacking and sipping on light bites and specialty cocktails.

Cooper River Bridge Run. April 5th

Known as a Charleston bucket list item, every local should participate in the Cooper River Bridge Run at least once in their life. This 10k starts in the heart of Mount Pleasant, goes over the famous Ravenel Bridge, and ends in the heart of downtown Charleston at Marion Square. As their slogan famously says, “get over it”!
