Less than 30 days until the tax credit expires…

Time is running out, only one month left before the homebuyer tax credit expires.  In the article, 30 days and counting: Homebuyer tax credit expires, CNNMoney.com explains that not all areas should be in a rush to take advantage of the tax credit.  Anyone planning to take advantage of the credit should consider where they live.

In some areas, home values are still projected to fall but not in Charleston, South Carolina.  Charleston is expected to post a record gain this year, which means buyers in our market would benefit from taking advantage of the tax credit. Keep in mind that you have to sign on the dotted line by the end of April and close before July 1st and that it’s unlikely that the tax credit will be extended for a third time.  So if you are looking to purchase in Charleston, it’s time to make your final selections!!
