I’On Living

◂ Back to Posts

February is a month to showcase things that you love.  One of the neighborhoods that we LOVE in Charleston is I’On.  We are so fond of it we even have an office located when you first enter the neighborhood at 159 Civitas Street, suite 100.  What’s not to love about I’On living?  You’re in the heart of Mount Pleasant – one of the country’s fastest-growing cities – while surrounded by nature, a picturesque neighborhood square, and homes that promote community and togetherness.  I’On combines the best of European design with the laid-back, easy living vibe of the South….and we LOVE it!

The homes in I’On mimic traditional Charleston single houses. They are purposely situated close to each other and their wide porches invite neighbors to connect and friendships to form. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of a close-knit community where you truly feel at home, I’On offers that.

With a purposeful neighborhood design, outdoor amenities and community centers all within walking and biking distance, you can’t help but head outdoors for a solo jog, a family biking adventure, fishing with a friend or walking the dog. I’On has several natural trails that – despite being minutes from the heart of a bustling town – give residents a chance to peacefully connect to nature.

Visit The Rookery, a protected bird nesting area with observation stands where you can view hundreds of native birds and wildlife. Or if you fancy life on the water, you’ll love the lakes throughout I’On that are connected by canals and footbridges. Or explore the tidal creeks and saltwater marsh by boat. Along a bend of Hobcaw Creek, there’s the neighborhood boat ramp giving residents easy access to the Cooper and Wando rivers, the Charleston harbor and even the Atlantic Ocean. Or simply stroll the paths along the Marsh Walk to catch an evening sunset.

Nurture your newfound friendships and meet even more I’On neighbors at the restaurants, shops and offices in I’On Square – the perfect place for a casual lunch or to meet for drinks and dinner. Another favorite gathering place is the Mount Pleasant Amphitheater at the north end of Westlake. The amphitheater hosts outdoors concerts, movies and shows as well as holiday festivals and family picnics.

Active residents will love the I’On Club for swimming, tennis and fitness classes. The club has an eight-lane junior Olympic swimming pool and six clay tennis courts. It’s a bustling community space filled with residents of all ages.

I’On provides all this and residents still have access to all that the Town of Mount Pleasant has to offer: restaurants, shopping centers, theater, parks, festivals and entertainment. Plus, they are minutes from historic downtown Charleston.

They say life is what you make of it so make yours the I’On life and experience the fullness that comes with living in a community, connecting with your neighbors and soaking up the beauty of the Lowcountry.
