Fall Events in the Lowcountry

There’s so much fall fun to be had here in the Lowcountry! As the temperature starts to drop and the humidity calms down, there are so many ways to get outside and enjoy the crisp fall weather. From fright nights to festivals, Charleston has something fun for everyone. Check out our list of fall events happening here in the Lowcountry.

Boone Hall Fright Nights. September 24th – End of October. If you live for the thrill of being terrified, step on out for a night at Boone Hall Fright Nights, if you dare. With three attractions in one, you’re promised a ghoulish night of frights and fun. Regular passes and VIP tickets are now available for purchase.

MOJA Arts Festival. September 26th – October 6th. This year marks the 40th annual MOJA Arts Festival, a celebration of Black arts and culture, with specific ties to African American and Caribbean legacy. Over this 11 day period, enjoy an array of events from visual arts to classical music, crafts, local cuisines and more!

Food and Wine Classic Charleston. September 27th – 29th. Enjoy a unique, curated experience at the first ever Food and Wine Classic Charleston. It will be a weekend full of astonishing culinary experiences as world renowned chefs and winemakers will come together to bring Charleston to life.

The Fall Tours. October 9th – November 2nd. Grab your ticket for a Fall Tour, hosted by The Preservation Society of Charleston. Take a tour of some of the grandest homes in Charleston while engaging in detailed stories about the architecture, history and charm of Charleston.

Riverfront Revival. October 11th – 12th. Enjoy two days of music with over 15 different artists live at Riverfront Park, curated by Darius Rucker. An ode to South Carolina, Riverfront Revival promises two days of country music and great vibes from right here in the Lowcountry!

Charleston Literary Festival. November 1st – 10th. Avid book readers will rejoice in this world-class literary festival based here in Charleston, South Carolina. Experience the true power of literacy, while engaging in transformative discussions and hear from some talented authors!
