Michael Rowell

Michael Rowell has called Charleston home for 25 years, offering his clients a rich understanding of the Lowcountry lifestyle in his role as their Realtor. A seasoned entrepreneur, Michael successfully built and sold two businesses - a multi-location retail venture and a marine service and storage company - before leveraging his expertise in investments and finance to guide homebuyers and investors in achieving their real estate goals. He has been working as a full-time real estate agent in Charleston since 2018.

Born with dual U.S. and U.K. citizenship and half-English heritage, Michael blends a global perspective with strong local roots. He values the friendships and connections he's developed throughout Charleston and is known for building lasting client relationships. A chef at heart, Michael enjoys showcasing his culinary talents by cooking international cuisine for family and friends.

Michael and his wife, Crissy, work together to assist their clients as the Rowell Real Estate Team. They reside in Mount Pleasant with their two children and enjoy golf, tennis, boating along Charleston's waterways and exploring the city's historic charm. Michael and Crissy are committed to their community and actively volunteer with local preservation and civic organizations, giving back to the city they proudly call home.

What is your favorite restaurant in Charleston and why?

Coda Del Pesce on Isle of Palms is by far my favorite. It offers house-made pasta, local seasonal ingredients and beautiful ocean views.

What are your favorite features of homes and why?

My favorite features are a chef's kitchen, a scullery/butler's pantry and marsh views. The kitchen is the heart of the home and offers a perfect space for cooking and entertaining, while a scullery/butler's pantry provides extra storage and keeps the kitchen organized. Marsh views add a tranquil, natural element to the home, making it a peaceful retreat - especially in the Lowcountry.

Describe a favorite Saturday afternoon in Charleston.

My ideal Saturday includes morning activities with the family, afternoon car projects and spending time in my happy place - the kitchen.
