LeGrand Elebash

Throughout his impressive career, including over two decades of real estate experience, LeGrand Elebash has cultivated a broad and deep knowledge of the intricacies of buying and selling property. His various roles across the industry - from project manager to master developer, homebuyer to lead broker - give him a unique perspective; one that has helped him establish a loyal clientele, an impressive network of contacts and most importantly, continued success as one of the top real estate agents in the Charleston area.

Growing up in Charleston, LeGrand was inspired by the architecture and natural beauty of the city from an early age. His father was a member of the Kiawah Island Real Estate team during the island's early development, his mother a successful interior designer and his stepfather a prominent developer - real estate and fine homes were intuitive. He lived between the island and downtown Charleston, fully immersed in what's now known as - the Lowcountry lifestyle - that makes the region so desirable.

LeGrand traveled north for school and graduated from St. Paul's School and Yale University where he was a member of the varsity crew team. He went on to serve in the U. S. Marine Corps for nine years as an F/A-18 fighter pilot, learning many valuable lessons from the Corps. Following his military service, LeGrand attended Harvard Business School graduating with an MBA in 2001.

Returning to Charleston with his wife, Allison, and their young children, LeGrand joined Rivers Enterprises Inc. a private real estate development firm with holdings in the Lowcountry and North Carolina. He was then tapped as the COO of the I'On Group as it completed the first phase of the now-renowned New Urbanist I'On development in Mount Pleasant. While at I'On, his team oversaw master-planning and construction of new communities in downtown Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Summerville and North Charleston.

Opportunity and adventure arose in 2008 when LeGrand was offered a position with Kiawah Partners to establish and oversee their Caribbean resort project on St. Kitts, West Indies. For four years, he and his family resided full-time in St. Kitts while successfully launching Christophe Harbor, a 2,500-acre luxury resort development.

The Elebashs once again returned home to Charleston and LeGrand pivoted from development to focus full time on residential real estate sales and partnerships. He has since risen to the top of his field, earning recognition for his hard work, integrity and record-breaking sales and consistently ranked among the top Realtors in the Charleston area, with over $58 million in closed sales for 2023, placing him in the top 10 out of over 7,000 licensed agents in the tri county area (top one tenth of 1% among licensed agents).

LeGrand and his wife, Allison, a well-known interior designer, have two adult children and are longtime residents of the I'On neighborhood. They are both active in several non-profit organizations, reflecting a shared commitment to positively impacting the local community.

LeGrand is a former board member of Spoleto Festival USA and the College of Charleston's Halsey Institute. Currently, he serves as a board member and immediate past Board Chair of Charleston Moves where he advocates for sustainable transportation solutions. His commitment to community welfare is further evident in his past role as a board member and active supporter of Operation Home, an organization dedicated to providing housing solutions. Additionally, Elebash and his wife actively support Hope to Home Furniture Resource.

An avid cyclist, LeGrand loves to cycle around the islands. He and Allison also enjoy Charleston's amazing food scene - especially wherever champagne is served.

Testimonials

  • Living in I'On for over twenty-two years, we decided we only wanted to list with an I'On resident/agent who knew the neighborhood well. Someone who knows all the amenities I'On has to offer and could answer any questions a potential buyer may have. LeGrand fit that need perfectly. He was completely professional, he communicated with us often and always acknowledged any communications we had with him. The entire process from listing to closing and beyond went very smoothly. Thank you, LeGrand.

  • We had searched for a house for almost a year with another agency before switching to LeGrand Elebash and I just wish we had made the switch earlier! From the start, we felt that we could trust LeGrand completely and sincerely enjoyed his company and opinions throughout the process. In the end, it was only his dedication and willingness to go above and beyond that got us our off-market home. Truly, he exceeded all expectations in advocating on our behalf. We couldn't be more thrilled with such a perfect match for our needs and whole-heartedly recommend LeGrand to anyone in the market!

  • We recently purchased a condo in downtown Charleston with LeGrand Elebash and Victoria Smith after our first visit to the city. Our experience with them could not have been better! Not only were they very professional but they were very warm and inviting. Their communication was very clear and concise. They both took their time walking us through the process ensuring we had the knowledge needed to be comfortable making a decision. Victoria even assisted in gathering quotes for repair work that was needed in our condo and stayed involved throughout the entire process. We want to thank them for their southern hospitality. We highly recommend this dynamic duo!

  • I have been involved in the process of buying and selling residential and commercial properties over the course of the last 30 years in the southeast. I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of great real estate professionals along the way and felt, in most cases, that they did a good job representing my interests. I have never had a better overall experience from first meeting all the way through the closing than I did with LeGrand and Victoria. The resources, commitment, and overall helpfulness that I received during the process was second to none. My heavy travel schedule did not allow me to be in town for all the necessary meetings and appointments with various contractors and inspectors that were required to see my listing to close. Their team was beyond accommodating at every step to help fill in and made what could have been a stressful situation an absolute pleasure to work through. I am very grateful to have found LeGrand and Victoria to work with on this sale from a professional perspective but also feel very fortunate to have met two truly great people in the process. I look forward to working with them again on future transactions and would highly recommend the experience to anyone.

  • Working with LeGrand was truly a pleasure. We worked with him to find our new office space as well as our home. He found us the perfect office while we were getting ready to relocate. We bought our home at a time when buying is very challenging due to such limited inventory. On top of that, we were new to the area and had never bought a home before so very much needed the expertise LeGrand provided. We found an off-market home in our desired neighborhood of Hampton Park. LeGrand helped us navigate all of the ups and downs from the initial house hunt to final negotiations. We felt we were in such good hands and could not have done it without him. LeGrand is also such a pleasure to spend time with and so trustworthy. We can't recommend him enough.

  • LeGrand Elebash was absolutely amazing. He helped us every step of the way with our recent purchase of a townhouse in Mount Pleasant. He was incredibly responsive, did a great job with coordinating search visits, negotiating the contract, handling the close, and getting us in touch with local contractors post close. He had a wealth of knowledge about the area and was spot on with his recommendations regarding various Charleston geographic areas, culture, and general lifestyle fit. He is awesome and an absolute delight to work with!

  • LeGrand is the most competent real estate agent we've ever worked with! Having just sold our home with his help, we quickly discovered his penchant for "being there" for everything. His knowledge, experience, and availability to give advice or resolve issues, went far beyond our expectations. He's a pleasure to work with and within minutes of meeting him, we realized that we couldn't do better than LeGrand Elebash to help us sell our property.

  • We wanted to share our very positive experience with LeGrand Elebash in selling 19th Wentworth Street in downtown Charleston. He provided excellent guidance on the preparation of this period house for the market and was immediately responsive to questions about the most minute detail. In our case, since the house was last renovated in 1970 there was a very long list of such details. LeGrand also excelled at every interpersonal interaction which was especially important since we had valued tenants in the dependency who we did not want to inconvenience. LeGrand established a warm working relationship with tenants ensuring that all went as smoothly as possible. LeGrand's judgment on the important issues of setting a price and likely time on market was right on. We cannot imagine a more congenial, attentive and competent agent with whom to work.

  • We have bought and sold dozens of homes through the years, and we give our highest recommendation and praise on behalf of LeGrand Elebash and his team. LeGrand sold our home in Country Club II a few years ago, and when we moved back, there was no question that we would call him to find the perfect home for us in Mount Pleasant. And he did it, with grace, wit and charm along the way! LeGrand is truly an expert in Charleston real estate. He listened carefully to what we were looking for and gently guided us in the right direction as we went through the process. His exceptional knowledge and professionalism are unmatched. He and his team kept in constant contact throughout the process. They were on top of every detail and made this a wonderful experience for our family. We highly recommend LeGrand to help guide you through the vagaries and complexities of home buying and selling. He is the Superman of Charleston real estate!
