Meet Etta Connolly

Etta was born and raised in Charleston, the third of seven children. Upon graduation from the University of South Carolina, she married and moved to Augusta, Georgia, her husband's hometown. In Augusta, she opened Etta Connolly Interiors, a shop specializing in home accessories and interior design. Her first home was featured in Southern Living magazine and others were highlighted in neighborhood tours. Etta has actively worked in design for the past twenty five years.
Her family relocated to Charleston in 2002 and purchased a home in I'On. Immediately, Etta fell in love with the neighborhood and realized it was the ideal environment to raise her two young children. She enjoys being active within the neighborhood and has served on the I'On Trust board. Etta's family also belongs to St. Philips church.
After her children were grown and no longer living at home, she was inspired to combine her passion for Charleston, I'On and her experience in interior design to pursue a career in real estate.
Etta enjoys working out with the fitness instructor at the I'On pool and running the neighborhood trails. She also enjoys gardening, arranging flowers and entertaining at home.

If you could live anywhere, or have a second home in Charleston where would it be and why?
This is a tough one because there are so many lovely neighborhoods, but if I had to say it would be in the award winning neighborhood, I'On, where I currently reside. You couldn't ask for a better location, only minutes from the local beaches and from downtown Charleston.
What is one thing you think most people don’t realize when they buy real estate?
With an eye for detail and design I often see that my clients do not have the vision to foresee the full potential of many homes.
What do you enjoy most about being a William Means Agent?
I love the friendship, camaraderie and support I feel from working in a smaller boutique company.
