Originally from Great Falls, Virginia, Kaelin grew up just outside of our nation’s capital and has an inherent love for historic properties and architecture. She attended Washington and Lee University and graduated with honors, receiving degrees in business and philosophy.
Kaelin started her career in finance at BlackRock, where she worked as a sales associate in New York before relocating to their London office to help build out a European strategy and operations division.
After a few years working and traveling abroad, Kaelin was ready to put down roots in the beautiful and charming city of Charleston. Having “grown up” in real estate, Kaelin combines her love for Lowcountry homes with her ability to communicate clearly, navigate complex transactions, and develop lasting client relationships. Her clients have become friends who never hesitate to call with their real estate needs. Named a Rising Star in Charleston real estate, Kaelin has broad experience across Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and the surrounding islands.
Kaelin resides downtown with her husband, Will. You’ll be sure to see her out on the water, on the tennis court, or cruising around town in a red ‘57 Chevy truck.
I pride myself on being detail-oriented and meticulous. From the first showing to the closing table, I’m involved at every step in the process to make the home buying/selling process as seamless as possible. Along with keeping the many moving parts of a transaction on track, clients have said that my ability to research and find out everything I can about a property creates a real sense of confidence in their purchase.
Charleston is truly one of the friendliest places in the country. Every client tells me that the city is so welcoming and I truly believe that it is one of the best places to make long-lasting friendships. I also love that Charleston is small enough where you see familiar faces every time you go out and still have access to world-class restaurants, fantastic art and music events, and bustling surrounding communities with their own unique flavor.
My perfect Saturday starts with packing a big cooler full of drinks, snacks, and lunch and heading straight to the boat with friends. We like to go down to Kiawah or up through Isle of Palms to Capers Island. We put the anchor down and have lunch on the beach and let everyone’s dogs run around! Once we are back at the dock, I like to end the day at either Shem Creek or Leon’s Oyster Shop. Nothing better than a fresh shrimp basket or fried chicken dinner after a long day on the water!
