Meet Eileen Smith

Love for the Holy City is truly contagious and there is nothing about Charleston that I do not love. My husband John and I first came to the area in 2003 when our son attended the College of Charleston. I remember the moment my feet hit the cobblestone streets - it was the most beautiful place I had ever seen. From the magnificent homes, history, the diverse culture of the city to the sweeping marshes, winding waterways, grand oaks and of course, the superb cuisine. I felt like a displaced southern lady and I knew that one day, I would live here.

I have a 35-year history of owning a boutique real estate company with my husband in our Central Pennsylvania college town. We have personally helped many families find the perfect place to call home. I have made it a priority to put our clients first and have been committed to giving back to our community to make it a better place to live. From the very beginning integrity, service and commitment has been the foundation of our business and it is the promise we bring to our clients in Charleston.

What do you think sets you apart as an agent?

With a background in social work, I know the importance of establishing a caring relationship with my clients that extends beyond the home closing. Listening to my clients’ needs and wants and working diligently to find the right fit for their family is one of my strengths. Keeping my clients informed through every step of the home buying or selling process is key to making every transaction less stressful and more rewarding. My goal is to exceed my clients’ expectations and to keep them as clients for life. I am thrilled to be associated with a quality real estate firm at William Means, who shares the importance of integrity and excellence in service.

Favorite restaurant in Charleston and why?

I love the Fat Hen on Johns Island. The French Lowcountry cuisine is outstanding and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. I feel right at home with the casual farm-themed décor; it’s like eating in a neighbor’s kitchen.

What is your favorite part about Charleston?

In addition to everything that drew me to the city, the kindness of the people is second to none. It is my pleasure and privilege to live in this wonderful community and serve your real estate needs.

Testimonials

  • Eileen went above and beyond what we expected in a real estate agent. She was a tremendous help from the beginning to end of our real estate purchase process. She selected properties to view which fit our selection criteria perfectly, worked diligently to gather the information we requested to complete the closing, and was an amazing advocate during our pre-purchase walk through. We highly recommend her as a real estate agent! We are very happy with our condo purchase. - M. Libby

  • Eileen was so easy to work with and was very responsive to answer all of our questions. We had our house on the market for an extended time prior to listing with Eileen and although we had serious interest weren’t able to get to a contract. Eileen worked well with interested buyers and buyer’s agent to bring all the details together with a contract we could all agree to. She worked very diligently to follow up on all leads and we had a contract in under two months. Would heartily recommend her- she brings a wealth of real estate knowledge and guided us through each step of the process even during a hurricane! - C. Vernon

  • Eileen Smith was our agent who successfully sold our home for us. We would highly recommend her as a skilled and competent realtor. Eileen provided us with professional advice and genuine support during the listing and sale of our property. - I. Matthews

  • We recently had the pleasure of working with Eileen Smith to sell our home on Johns Island. Unlike a past experience when our listing agent all but disappeared once we signed with her agency, Eileen was 100% involved with all aspects of the marketing and subsequent sale of our home. Due to her attention to every detail from staging to following up with showings, she was able to present us with more than one offer within a matter of weeks after the house went on the market. Her work ethic is beyond compare and her wonderful personality shines! - K. Curtin
