Testimonials

  • Just a quick note to pass along our hearty thanks to Farrah Follmann and the entire William Means Real Estate Team! Farrah's efforts and professionalism to help us sell our custom home in Mount Pleasant, SC in August 2018 went above and beyond any service we could have expected! Farrah's diligent and innovative approach to our listing made the process timely, easy and successful. We thank William Means for supporting us through this process and would be very honored to work again with Farrah and their firm when we have another home to buy or to sell.

  • We had a great experience and excellent outcome in working with Farrah Follmann at William Means Real Estate. Our real estate needs were complex, including a number of considerations around building permits, water access, waste water disposal, and easements, and Farrah navigated our needs expertly. Farrah was diligent in her research and educating us through the process, all culminating in a transaction that worked just right for all parties. We highly recommend Farrah and look forward to working with her again in the future.

  • As a 'mature' couple with about 15 home purchases/sales under our belts, we were so impressed with our listing agent Farrah Follmann. She is knowledgeable about the best way to package/market a residential property in the competitive Charleston market, understands the nuts and bolts of a contract, has a great positive attitude, and doesn't do a halfway job of anything! We distinctly remember a remark Farrah made as we were discussing the selling of properties, "At least I will always know I did everything I could to sell a property." We truly appreciated that commitment to excellence and her assistance in the successful sale of our home in Mount Pleasant!

  • Farrah came highly recommended to us by older relatives who described her as the best realtor they had ever had. She inherited a difficult situation with our home. Our home that we wanted sold immediately, had been on the market for several months, and was not priced correctly. To complicate things, our home was vacant at that point as we had moved out of state. Farrah jumped in head first and gave our home 100% of her time and attention. She was nothing short of phenomenal! Showings were abundant, communication was exceptional, and her attention to detail was top notch. She was a true professional, really understood our needs and knew how to bring offers in and tenaciously saw our deal through to fruition despite the many challenges that arose. She knew how to handle every curve ball thrown her way and our home was sold very quickly. You won’t find a better realtor than Farrah.

  • Farrah was recommended to me by a close friend and she maintained contact with me for almost three years. I think some real estate agents may have been less attentive if they thought we were never going to purchase anything, but in our case we just had not found the right house yet. We eventually settled on looking at homes in the Old Village and I received an email with the most perfect cottage in the perfect location. In 24 hours we were under contract and Farrah walked us step-by-step through the process of purchasing a second home. She connected us with excellent resources and ensured that the inspection was done well. We have purchased many homes in the past and this experience was by far a 5-star experience. Even after we have closed, she still maintains contact with us, ensuring that we're settled and comfortable in the neighborhood. I've already recommended her to another friend who is interested in a home on Folly Beach. Buying a home can be very stressful and Farrah makes it very easy.

  • Farrah Follmann represented my wife and I as a buying agent in the crazy Wild West market that Charleston fine homes has become. We were navigated through a month’s worth of a learning curve in a couple of hours that allowed us to buy the home of our dreams devoid of the all too common drama that deals in this market are general burdened with. Farrah was knowledgeable about the home and neighborhood and was instrumental in getting us to position our offer in the best light and with the highest chance of a win. I have doubted the importance of Real Estate agents in this market but was proven wrong in a large way, we would not have been successful without Farrah and we are in our new home 100% due to her work. I would recommend Farrah unequivocally to anyone looking to buy or sell in this complex and nuanced market.

  • We have worked with multiple other Realtors in Charleston over the last 10+ years for the sale and purchase of our homes. Farrah was hands down the best and enjoyable to work with. She not only helped us buy our new home but also sold our old home. She was outstanding to work with and we cannot recommend her enough.

  • You want Farrah Follmann as your Realtor. Farrah knew the market, knew the inventory, and knew what hadn't even hit the market yet. She also knew more about the houses she showed us than many of the listing agents did. Her white glove service had so many little touches that simplified a normally stressful process. Anyone can find you A house. Farrah will find you THE house and make it easy for you.

  • My husband and I recently closed on an investment property on Kiawah Island. Marisa Cromey and Farrah Follmann were our agents and we highly recommend them! Both of them spent an entire Saturday showing us eleven available properties as we had requested. They were professional and gave much appreciated and valuable feedback on the properties we toured together. Once we narrowed down our search, they did an outstanding job assisting us with negotiations to get a contract written. They went out of the way during the inspection process to be present since we were out of town buyers. We could not have done it without both of them being fully involved from start to finish. We never worried at all during the process since both of them are detail oriented and always looked ahead to anticipate anything that could happen. Many thanks to both Marisa and Farrah!

  • I had a delightful experience using William Means for my recent real estate purchase. My agents, Marisa Cromey and Farrah Follmann, were true professionals from negotiating to follow through and hand holding too. I could not recommend any team or agency more highly.

What do you think sets you apart as an agent?

Real estate is my passion. I was born into a real estate family and was brought up visiting my parent?s and aunt?s projects. Ever since, I have loved exploring homes and imagining how I might live in them or how I would renovate. As soon as I graduated from college, I moved abroad to see the world and start my property career. I?ve excelled in both commercial and residential real estate both in Italy and here in the United States. In Milan, I represented Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, Google, Discovery Channel and Nestl? to name a few. Working with such companies demanded the highest levels of professionalism, budgetary awareness and time management; skills that now benefit my residential clients. I consider myself a good listener, an original thinker and a problem solver; qualities that combined with my experience, help my clients achieve their goals and create lasting relationships.

What are your favorite features of homes and why?

The features I get most excited about are a gracious foyer, stand-out design details like high ceilings and exposed beams or beautiful windows that give great light or an incredible view. These qualities can be found in many Charleston properties, alongside another favorite of mine which is mature landscaping. Our love for live oak trees, magnolias and colorful Southern blooms is well known. I particularly love to find an original but effective floor plan with these ingredients that set it apart and make it a fantastic place to live.

Describe a favorite Saturday afternoon in Charleston.

In the Spring, I love a long walk with my family on the beautiful streets South of Broad. Strolling along the cobblestone streets while jasmine and honeysuckle are in bloom makes it so fragrant. We usually visit an art gallery and then finish off the day with ice cream by the pineapple fountain or a Shirley Temple at one of our favorite spots.
