Helen Butler is a Charleston native who grew up on Meeting Street. She graduated from the Emma Willard School in Troy, N.Y., and attended Sweet Briar College and the University of London before heading home to earn her bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the College of Charleston.
Helen has a true appreciation of architecture and preservation in the downtown neighborhoods. She and her husband received the Carolopolis Award from the Preservation Society of Charleston for their work in renovating a home in downtown Charleston’s Harleston Village.
Helen has been a full-time, professional real estate agent for more than 28 years, specializing in the sales and marketing of homes throughout the Lowcountry. She has thorough knowledge and experience in historic Charleston, James Island, West Ashley, Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms and Johns Island.
Helen is the Past President of the Charleston Top Producers Club, is an Accredited Buyer Representative and has earned the designation Realtor of Distinction in Platinum, Gold and Silver.
Helen and her family live on James Island and are members of The Harbour Club of Charleston and First Scots Presbyterian Church. Her son graduated from the College of Charleston and her daughter graduated from University of South Carolina and are both married.
