PGA Tour Comes to Kiawah Island

The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort will host the 94th PGA Championship in 2012. The course will be only the fifth course to host each of the PGA of America’s major championships – the Ryder Cup (1991), the Senior PGA Championship (2007) and the PGA Championship (2012). Other events the course has hosted include the 2001 UBS Warburg Cup, 1997 and 2003 World Cups.

The Ocean Course is a par-72 layout and is only one course among four other championship courses at the golf resort: Osprey Point by Tom Fazio, Oak Point by Clyde Johnston, Turtle Point by Jack Nicklaus, and Cougar Point by Gary Player.
