A wonderful opportunity to own a home situated on Charleston’s famous Rainbow Row! The Cotesworth Pinckney House, circa 1741 is currently on the market. 95 East Bay Street features gorgeous period woodwork, beautiful original mantels adorned with early delft tiles, original wide plank heart pine floors, and cypress paneling in the living room and library.
Surviving the fire of 1778 this Georgian style home was owned by, and later named for, Charles Cotesworth Pinckney in the late eighteenth century. Pinckney was early American statesman of South Carolina, Revolutionary War veteran and delegate to the Constitutional Convention.

That’s indeed a beautiful historical house. I also think that 1.5 million is a reasonable house for such a pretty piece of history. Just 4 years ago it would have gone on the market for 2 or 3 times that much.
