There are two main points I think are extremely important when deciding who you want to represent you in your real estate transaction. The first is that you always want someone who is well versed in the area you are looking to buy. Having a realtor who knows the area and the inventory well will be a great service to you through out the process… and that starts the moment you begin to look at properties, to dealing with other agents who also concentrate their efforts in that same location, to negotiating the best price for you when it comes time to buying (or selling for that matter).

According to Realtor.com, two SC cities have entered into the “15 Best Retirement Cities”: Greenville and Charleston. Today boomers are willing to move further and are breaking the mold of their parents retirement plans and destinations. The 2010 Del Webb Baby Boomer Survey indicates that 42% of today’s 50 year olds are planning to move for retirement and they are looking to downsize in new urban states like South Carolina and North Carolina. As you can see, the Carolina’s are becoming the new Florida.

The Southeastern Wildlife Festival will take place this weekend, February 12th-14th. SEWE is the largest wildlife art and nature event in the nation. This festival attracts more than 35,000 people to the Charleston area and offers a large variety of events.
