Charleston Real Estate Market Expected to Fare Well in 2010

November home sales are up!

Sales of existing homes grew 7.4% compared to October according to the National Association of Realtors.  With the tax credit no longer expiring in November, 1st time home buyers are taking advantage.  NAR estimated that 51% of sales are from buyers new to the market.  Typically 1st time buyers only account for 40% of sales.  [...]

November Sales Up Locally 80%

In November, Charleston County home sales doubled over 2008 levels. Data from the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors showed 783 closed transactions in November. As of December 10th, 435 were sold at a median price of $185,503. These numbers, if continued, will indicate an 80% increase in sales for Charleston County. It also indicates the 3rd consecutive month of increases.
