Sales of existing homes grew 7.4% compared to October according to the National Association of Realtors. With the tax credit no longer expiring in November, 1st time home buyers are taking advantage. In November, Charleston County home sales doubled over 2008 levels. Data from the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors showed 783 closed transactions in November. As of December 10th, 435 were sold at a median price of $185,503. These numbers, if continued, will indicate an 80% increase in sales for Charleston County. It also indicates the 3rd consecutive month of increases.
